These girls don't ride in the trailer, the tent does and few other things they need as they go. They all pedal too, with exception of the two year old. YES, 2 yr. old! She sits in what looks almost like a child seat, but she does have pedals too, they are just not linked in with the chain.
He was so excited, and amazed at the bike. The Harrison Family is biking from Mt. Vernon, Kentucky to Alaska. They started in August of 2009 and headed to the east coast first, then across the southern states and have made it to Az. at this point. Spencer spent a little time talking with them and their story of this journey is really cool. He enjoyed talking with them, said they were really nice and the kids full of energy.
I was thinking they had to be crazy to take on this experience with 3 young girls ages 6, 4 and almost 3! Can you imagine? What a story to tell and a unforgettable experience for them all.
If you want to see some more of their pictures and look/read a little about their journey so far, you can go to their website. It is really amazing. Here is the site.

They are CA-RA-ZY! I can barely travel long distances with my kids in the freakin' car for crying out loud! Neat story though...lets just say the Verdine's arent going to be pedaling together anytime soon.
The frame has to be super strong in the middle to hold all the weight.
