Calling all readers

OK, for all you readers out there, weather it be many or few. Those who comment and those who just stalk! We need to come together. We've got some business to take care of here.

Caden's school is doing a fundraiser. He loves to be involved in these whenever they have them. When he was on swim team in the summer, he was sure to be at all the ones they held.

This particular one is different than any of the others they've done so far. They are selling Spirit Cups. It is a 18oz. plastic cup. It is a heavy/durable plastic cup, dishwasher safe and made in the USA! Size is 5.75" tall. You choose your graphic. Those offered are:

* all 32 NFL teams
* all 30 MLB teams
* over 70 Colleges
* 5 Military designs
If you'd like, you can go to spiritcups.com to view your favorite team cup before ordering.

There are 4 cups per pack. Each pack is $15. You choose one logo per pack. They sent a sample home with the kids, so I took a few pictures of it. I cant think of what it is called, but the outside has that type of picture that changes when you slightly tilt it or look at it from a different angle. Does anyone know what that is called?

Spencer is allowing this ASU cup to be in the house only because Caden is so excited to sell these! Just think of all the birthday shopping for those die hard fans you can get done for the year by ordering these now!

Anyway, if you'd like to SUPPORT this SWEET kid in his efforts to fund raise, please contact us. If you don't want to leave all your personal info in the comments, just email me at snlhansen@hotmail.com , and we'll go from there.

He has to have the orders in no later than Jan. 28th and the cups will be in for us to pick up March 12th. Can't wait to hear from you all. ThAnKs!!

Check this out

On New Years day, Spencer was working and got called to a man & woman on a bike hauling 3 girls in a bike trailer. When he responded and met up with the family, this is what he saw.

These girls don't ride in the trailer, the tent does and few other things they need as they go. They all pedal too, with exception of the two year old. YES, 2 yr. old! She sits in what looks almost like a child seat, but she does have pedals too, they are just not linked in with the chain.

He was so excited, and amazed at the bike. The Harrison Family is biking from Mt. Vernon, Kentucky to Alaska. They started in August of 2009 and headed to the east coast first, then across the southern states and have made it to Az. at this point. Spencer spent a little time talking with them and their story of this journey is really cool. He enjoyed talking with them, said they were really nice and the kids full of energy.

I was thinking they had to be crazy to take on this experience with 3 young girls ages 6, 4 and almost 3! Can you imagine? What a story to tell and a unforgettable experience for them all.

If you want to see some more of their pictures and look/read a little about their journey so far, you can go to their website. It is really amazing. Here is the site.

Daisy's Two

On Monday Daisy had her second birthday. She is a little girl with a big personality! She has such funny ways and is becoming quite the little talker.

She is often doing some dance move, saying something or finding something the other kids do to be funny. She'll laugh briefly and then look at us as ask, "dat funny?" We'll say yes and then she'll laugh again and ask, "dat funny?", this continues to repeat 5-6 times.

She also got a Jack-in-the-Box for Christmas. She turns the crank cautiously and waits for the surprise pop up of Jack, then says, "dat cared me! It care you?" and laughs and repeats.

Here are a few recent pictures for you all to capture some of her sweetness!

catching up

Well, it's been a while. Aside from the busyness of the holidays, I had a camera malfunction, which kept me from posting. After all a post is better when accompanied by a photo or two. So, I'll run through December.....

Caden and Paxton had their last soccer game and it was cold that day. They both enjoyed this first season of soccer and hope that it will be offered again next year. (Pax is center in black & Caden on the right in gray)

Caden and Paxton got to be in the light parade. Paxton with her Baton group and Caden with the Kearny Stingrays (swim team). Pictures for that didn't turn out because it was dark.

We went to Spencer's annual Squad Christmas party and had a good time, but left early because Caden and Spencer started to feel crummy. Five minutes down the road, we had to stop as Spencer lost it on the side of the road. And the next day it went Me, Paxton, Caden and then Daisy all taking our turn passing around the stomach flu.

Caden lost his first tooth. For almost a year now he has been asking me when he would loose one. Then this one becomes loose and it hangs in there forever. The other tooth was half way in before it finally fell out.
Caden held his own and first yard sale, and we didn't even know he was doing it. He up early and had about 8 items up for sale sitting under the carport at 6:30 am or so waiting for people to come. We found out when he came back into our room all irritated, telling us that no one wanted to buy his stuff. Turns out he was out there for a whole 5 minutes and had no customers. I had to explain to him that he would need to make signs to let people know he was having one and so on. It was funny how he priced them all. I think if he sold all items he would have made a total of $1.43.

Caden's 1st grade class had there Christmas program, singing about 12 songs or so. He is front and center in the maroon shirt with stripes.

Caden took a spill on his bike and wasn't wearing his helmet. A few scrapes on the leg and hand to go along with these on his head.

Christmas day was wonderful. We enjoyed the morning and eachother as we shared gifts and talked with family on the phone. A few pics of the kids and a look at our new famliy dog, Max. He's a black lab and the kids love him. He is a sweet puppy so far.
