Finally the day has come. The day they have eagerly been waiting for. No, not me finally starting up a blog. I'm talking about the kids and "Cousin Camp"(CC). Everyday for the past two weeks, Caden and Paxton have been asking, "Is today CC?" And everyday I would crush their hopes, "No, it is in __ days."
Every two years Spencer's parents put on CC. All the cousins 3 and older get to spend Fri-Sun. at G-ma/G-pa Hansens house indulging in all the planned activities. Hiking, slip-n-slide, camping, crafts, games, cooking and all sorts of projects. This year there are 12 cousins attending. Thank goodness for the extra help of Aunts Lindsay and Rachel as well as Uncles Talmage and (fresh of his mission) Kimball.
Friday morning came and the kids were wild with excitement. They were packed and ready to go! 9am couldn't come fast enough. Here they are patiently waiting to leave.
Can you feel their excitement?
They all traveled up to Globe in two burbs with decorated windows warning other drivers that "Wild kids were on board" and "Honk for CC". Our drivers were a bit "wild" themselves! (I robbed these pictures from Jana's blog.)

And look Jana... poor Daisy, she like her other younger cousins not old enough to go yet was so upset.

I wish you could see my face beaming with pride right now. Welcome my sister.
Welcome.
Hey Lisa... I am so happy you guys have a blog now. I will be checking back often so keep them coming!
I too am surprised you started a blog but I will check it diligently like I do my other family members blogs. The entry was heart melting with your description of the kids waiting for Cousin's Camp to begin and Daisy Kay being left out. They were great little campers, so easily entreated and so enthusiastic. Thanks for sharing your lives.
Hahaha...What is it that makes us drawn to blogging?? I vowed never to have one too! I buckled under the pressure. Cute blog. Cousin Camp is such a cute idea! I bet they have a blast.
I LOVE the blog Lisa. I quickly found after starting mine that it is a quick and easy way to keep everyone updated and let me post my what not happenings of life. I can't wait to check you out often. God Bless
Welcome to the blogging world. It was nice catching up with you on Sunday.
I LOVE Daisy's face in that picture! OH so cute!
ummmm...hello! It's been 3 days...what happened to your solemn pledge to me?
Patience Jana, not all of us can be supermom extraordinaire!
Actually, the less you blog, the MORE of an extraordinairy mom you are, because you're not neglecting your duties. So by not blogging, you're practically bragging about what a good mom you are. I can't believe you, such a braggart.
Hi Lisa! Glad you finally buckled under the blogging pressure, cute blog! It's nice to see what's happening in everyone's lives and see the kids getting older--I can't believe how much bigger Daisy is from the last time I saw her...anyways, welcome!
